Turn a text-based PDF into question-and-answer cards for closed-notes review.

What works

WakeCards reads selectable text inside your PDF. That usually covers lecture notes, textbook chapters, papers, and exported documents. It does not read scanned images or photos of pages, because there is no OCR step. If you can select the words in your PDF reader, WakeCards can usually read them too. Tables and math are the exception: they often need checking after generation, because layout and symbols do not always survive the conversion.

How to get good cards

• Upload a manageable chapter or section for your first try, rather than a whole book.
• Keep headings in the file. They help the generator find structure.
• If a PDF mixes slides and dense text, split it and upload the part you need.
• After generation, verify any card that is vague against your source. A card you cannot answer is not useful.
• Check any card built from a table or a formula against the source.

Limits and credits

• Selectable text PDF only. No OCR for scanned pages.
• Maximum 10 MB per file, up to 500 pages.
• 1 credit per PDF page.
• Preview the cost first, then choose a smaller range if your credits are not enough.
• Larger documents may take longer. The server keeps processing after you close the tab.
• English PDFs produce English cards; Chinese PDFs produce Chinese cards.

What you get

Each card has a question, an answer, and an explanation, plus an everyday example and source snippets when available. You review each card, rate it yourself, and return to the deck manually. WakeCards is a focused review loop you control.
